What is provided as part of the Destination Dogs franchise system?
We expect you and two other individuals to attend our HQ-based training, including a two-day administrative course and a one-week initial training. Topics may include food prep, food cost & inventory controls, labor scheduling, and more. We’ll also send representatives to provide assistance on site for two days around the time of your restaurant’s opening. And, we’ll present you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business properly on a day-to-day basis.
What experience do I need to have to become a Destination Dogs franchise owner?
Franchise owners, or operating partners, within the Destination Dogs system are preferred to have restaurant experience (preferably full service restaurant experience). We look for motivated owner-operators who have management experience, computer skills, leadership and coaching abilities, good communications and problem solving skills, and who are involved in their local communities. We offer both single-unit franchise agreements as well as multi-unit options.
How much will the Destination Dogs franchise investment cost me?
The projected initial investment range for a single start-up location is between $374,000 and $1,091,000; this investment amount includes an initial franchise fee of $50,000 (this fee can be discounted for qualified military veterans). As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business.
Are there other ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?
Franchisees will be required to pay royalties at a rate of 6% of gross sales, plus a technology fee of up to $50/month for website presence. These royalties and fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of services and product selections, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.
